Our annual conference is around the corner and we're planning an educational and advocacy focused agenda with faith leaders, advocacy and service organizations, congregation members, and activists to learn more about the specific and unique poverty issues Rhode Islanders are facing amidst the pandemic and beyond and how you can make a difference!
We are excited and honored to announce that Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, co-chair of the National Poor People’s Campaign: A National call for a Moral Revival, will be our keynote speaker this year at the conference. We hope you can join us on April 13th, at 10am on Zoom, as we are inspired, filled with knowledge and hope, and re-energized in the fight against poverty, injustice, and inequality.
This year registration for the event is free! If you've been asking yourself how to become more involved in local activism and policy, this is a great first step. The conference includes four workshops and each focuses on a key topic.
This year's topics include:
• Immigration Rights
• Housing
• RI Works Program
• An Update On Hunger
For those able, we ask if you'd consider a donation in lieu of the ticket's place.
