Join us Jan 7th 2025, 2pm at The RI State House rotunda for the 17th Annual RI Interfaith Poverty Vigil.
Faith leaders from around the state will gather alongside advocacy organizations, community groups, and elected officials to reaffirm - that we have a moral obligation to fight poverty and inequality. Now more than ever we must uplift communities in need and protect those that are most vulnerable. A new legislative session means more opportunities to advocate for policy addressing housing insecurity, environmental justice, economic stability, healthcare access, food insecurity, criminal justice reform and many more.
Faith Leaders traditionally meet up earlier at 1pm, at Gloria Dei Church (15 Hayes St, Providence, RI 02908) to participate in the "March to the State House". You can also meet at the State House at 2pm if you aren't able to march. As you may know, Faith Leaders and Advocates read the names of the legislators in the State as a blessing and a call for action.
